As firearms season nears close, Macon County remains Missouri deer-hunting mecca

With firearms season ending Nov. 25, Missouri deer hunters are showing that Macon County is the Missouri mecca.

As of 9:45 a.m., Monday, Nov. 24, hunters have taken 4,661 deer in Macon County.

Callaway County (4,041)
Texas County (4,030)
Howell County (3,948)
Franklin County (3,531)
Adair County (3,428)
